What is carried chilled?
Examples include chilled food and other temperature-sensitive products. Product type alone is insufficient: packaging, condition at loading and specified temperature also determine the agreement.
Chilling is not the same as freezing
A chilled shipment is not the same as a frozen shipment. Explicitly state how the product must be carried. A general term such as “food” does not tell the planner which conditions are required.
Prepare for the journey
Ensure collection and delivery addresses, date, time windows and contact people are known. State pallet count, dimensions and weight.
What should you ask the carrier?
Discuss whether the route and conditions are feasible, which information is missing and whether FTL or groupage fits. Price and execution become concrete only after coordination.
